“The Heart Can Change: A Journey toward German-Jewish Reconciliation”
Prof. Judith Levi, a retired linguistics professor from Northwestern University, will explore the differences and similarities between forgiveness and reconciliation, how identity issues affect reconciliation readiness, what makes reconciliation so difficult, and what forces can make it easier to open up to its profound personal and spiritual rewards.
She is inspired by her journey to her father’s German hometown for memorial services marking the 60th anniversary of Kristallnacht.
