The Courage Project is an interfaith activity for high school teenagers in grades 10-12. It started with elementary students in December 2008. That effort, coordinated by Rohany Nayan along with Cantor Deborah Martin, Temple Beth El, and Pastor Katie Baardseth, Midvale Lutheran Church (ELCA), sparked a positive response and generated a desire by area adolescents for a similar opportunity. Coordinate by these three individuals, the project provides a forum for teenagers from the Abrahamic faiths to engage each other, in the process learning about each other's traditions, their places within their own traditions, and their interrelationships as neighbors and members of particular faith communities.
